We Cannot do it Alone

We can’t do everything by ourselves. There are too many things going on in this world. We need help. We all do. It is okay to ask for help. It is okay to lean on each other.

There is an ethos, especially in America, that we must “pull ourselves up by our own bootstrap.” We must take care of everything by ourselves. We are only strong if we do it by ourselves. That is totally absurd. An example that speaks to this is what if you need surgery? Do you cut yourself open and do it yourself? Or do you have a surgeon who has nurses and techs and many other support staff to do surgery on you? While yes, some things we can, and should, do by ourselves, many other things we simply cannot.

What would happen if you allowed yourself to be part of a community that sometimes you lean on others and sometimes they lean on you? Odds are you would actually feel safer, more confident and get more done!

So, find your people, those whom you feel safe with, and create a community that creates safety and love and mutual help! You will not believe the difference it will make in your life!
