Life Changes

Life changes. Sometimes in a heartbeat, everything has changed. Whether it is by a car accident, a medical result or an act of nature, or so many other possibilities, everything in our lives can be turned upside down, all of our plans no longer fit, all of our hopes are gone.

This is a reality that we all have experienced or will experience. You cannot hide from it. Life is nothing if not unpredictable.

Of course, the reverse is true as well. That medical result can be a hard fought but finally a confirmation of a pregnancy or cancer remission. We might meet a person who will become significant in our lives. Or we get a job offer that changes everything.

Life never stays the same. Some of the changes are scary or sad, some are exciting and joyful. But life will continue to go forward, whether you want it to or not. So, the question for all of us is how do we cope with what life throws at us, good or bad?

Perhaps the place to start is that more change is coming. So, if you do not like what just happened, don’t worry, something else will be happening soon enough. But while we are dealing with what is happening now, be mindful. Notice the good. Notice the people. Notice the love. Notice what you learn from this situation. Notice how you grow as a human. Just notice. Then notice what happens next.

The journey continues. Be sure to enjoy it.
